Program Note
When we’re faced with abstract concepts, how are we supposed to unravel their meaning? If something was meant to be a blank slate, how can we give meaning to what is supposed to be nothing? Perhaps it can be as simple as a color, a type of fabric, and a mood. Would you like some examples?
Maroon, Velvet, Determined. Cyan, Chiffon, Melancholy. Crimson, Satin, Bold.
How about yourself? What colors will you see? What fabrics will you feel? What mood will stir inside of your heart?
